Australian sales charts, week ending 03/02/08

PALGN News | Same old, really.
Not a great deal has changed in the charts this week. Holding first place is Sight Training for the DS - we'd bet on this one hanging around for a while. Beyond that, the games are mostly the same this week - just in a different order. Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games jumped a few places to end the week at two, while Bratz: 4 Real climbed to three to prove the selling power of those little dolls. The newly released Ghost Squad was at four - you can read our full review here. It's not bad, either. Many Australians still need their brains trained apparently, as More Brain Training won't go away, finishing this week at five.

Dropping slightly from last week is WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2008, but it still managed to finish at six. Uncharted: Drake's Fortune made its debut in seven, while Assassin's Creed is back in the charts, this time on the PS3. Thanks to the disappearance of those Nintendogs, another series has set up shop at the bottom of the charts. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare on the Xbox 360 and PS3 closes out the charts this week.

The charts are updated weekly and are provided by GfK.

I'm surprised Ghost Squad is selling

It's quite encouraging to see 3 PS3 titles in the top 10. Hopefully the attach rate is getting better.
I have arouhnd 13 games myself...

I'll be interested to see how (if?) Devil May Cry 4 makes a dent in the Overall Top 10 and what platforms.

It's good considering that BigW/DickSmith don't even carry any of the new Sega releases!

Not sure if the 360 had this, but I saw a special edition for the PS3 game with a metallic case and artbook. The cover looks awesome and its the first game I noticed out of the entire stand. I was almost compelled to buy it even. However I have never even played the DMC series...

Good to see a whole 3 PS3 games in that top 10, equaling the DS! icon_smile.gif Looks like Sony are really starting to move some software.
