New Prince of Persia title confirmed

PALGN News | Out this year.
A new title in the Prince of Persia franchise has been hinted at and rumoured for a long time, but Ubisoft has officially confirmed via a press release that the Prince will be back at the end of this year.

The new game, which is currently untitled, is scheduled for release at the end of 2008 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. A specially designed Nintendo DS version will also be released. Unfortunately that's all the information we have on the new title at the moment, but as soon as we know more we'll report back.

From those screens it looks like there going for a cel shaded style crossed with the dark look from Warrior Within. Odd combination but heres hoping they can pull it off.

Can't wait to get some more info on this, I love the Sands trilogy and am pretty interested to see where Ubi are going to take the series

Please let it be the Sands of Time crew...

They can handle both this and Assassin's Creed 2, right? RIGHT?!

EDIT: I just saw the screens. They're... different icon_confused.gif

From what I've read elsewhere it is Ubisoft Montreal handling the game so it's in good hands icon_biggrin.gif
