Australian sales charts, week ending 04/05/08
PALGN News | Because we haven't heard enough about GTA this week.

It comes as absolutely no surprise to anyone that Grand Theft Auto IV has rocketed straight to the top of the charts on both the PS3 and Xbox 360, following years of hype and a media spotlight unlike anything ever before seen in the industry. As we reported earlier, the game sold slightly better on the Xbox 360 than the PS3. The GTA hype pushed Nintendo's big gun, Mario Kart Wii, down to third after only a week in the charts. Following that up is Wii Play, making a surprise reappearance in the charts. Time Crisis 4 fell three places from last week to come in at five.
Moving back into the charts after a few weeks off is Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, apparently now qualifying for the charts again despite having a RRP of less than $60. Positions seven and eight are occupied by the DS Brain Training series, with the original coming in first, followed by the sequel, More Brain Training. Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games, a past champion, still continues to sell, though it could only manage ninth place this week. At ten, ending the charts, is Sight Training.
The charts are updated weekly and are provided by those wonderful people at GfK.
