This Week's Releases - 1/9/08

PALGN Feature | Spores hit the clear sky.
Spore is finally upon us, hitting the PC this week. From the genius of Will Wright, the game allows you to make a creature from a single spore, before guiding it into a full-fledged civilisation. Players create their customised species from the ground up, building cities and transportation, and teaching the basics of commerce, strategy and survival. Look out for the standard and Galactic Editions of Spore this Thursday.

Also out on PC this week is S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Clear Sky. The follow-up to the original S.T.A.L.K.E.R. promises an additional 10 hours of gameplay, five new levels and plenty of weapon and armour upgrades. For impressions of the game, check out our preview of S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Clear Sky here.

Hitting the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 this week is Electronic Arts' new boxing title FaceBreaker. Square Enix's role-playing game Infinite Undiscovery is also released this Thursday on Xbox 360.

Finally, Final Fantasy IV is released on Nintendo DS, and the game adaptation of Pixar's upcoming movie Wall-E makes its way onto store shelves on every platform under the sun.

The first decent week in ages, I'm getting Spore (Galactic Edition), S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky and Infinite Undiscovery, I already imported Final Fantasy IV though.

Seems like a decent week for once, I'm currently playing through the first Stalker so I'll probably skip on clear sky till I'm done with that. Spores defiantly tempting but I may check out some reviews before I make up my mind one it. Are PALGN going to be doing a bargains round-up for it?

Also a shame Mercs 2 has been pushed back a week, I was looking forward to blowing **** up all weekend icon_razz.gif

We're currently undecided about doing a Bargain round-up for Spore. It will depend on how many specials we can round-up.

Opoona is out on September 25 I believe. Online shops have it listed at that date.
