Leading the charge on the retail front is the hack-and-slash title Afro Samurai, based on the film of the same name. Legendary actor Samuel L Jackson lends his voice to the game, which is released this Thursday on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Coming the day before and coinciding with the DreamWorks Animation feature is the multi-platform release of the Monsters vs. Aliens. Over the course of twelve levels, players can battle the extraterrestrial invasion as any of the monsters featured in the CGI movie. Monsters vs. Aliens can be found on Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, Wii and PC.
We've been waiting a while, but Pro Evolution Soccer 2009 shoots firmly in the Nintendo Wii's net this week. While using the same control scheme as the previous Wii version, the game includes a number of new features, including an enhanced shooting system, improved defensive mechanics and overhauled artificial intelligence.
Following on from Resistance: Retribution and Patapon 2, PlayStation Portable owners pick up Tenchu 4: Shadow Assassins. The next addition to the Castlevania series, Castlevania: Judgement is scheduled for release on Thursday, but some stores have already received their shipments of the Wii game. Finally, after a late delay last week, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time makes its way onto Nintendo DS and Wii.
