Bayonetta set for worldwide release

PALGN News | Coming Spring 2009 on our side of the pond.
At a recent press-event in Tokyo, Sega has revealed that its upcoming PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 action title Bayonetta is expected to be released "worldwide" in "Fall" of this year, implying a Spring 2009 release in Australia and New Zealand.

Bayonetta sees the eponymous witch using a variety of fantastical powers (including her magic hair), firearms (affixed to her limbs), and blades to see off a bevy of hideous monsters posing as angels.

The game is being developed by Platinum Games, who were responsible for the recent Wii title MadWorld, and springs forth from the fertile loins of Hideki Kamiya, director of the original Devil May Cry. Its pedigree alone makes it a title worth keeping an eye on.

Surely you mean Spring in the Southern hemisphere? Last time I checked PAL covered Europe in the Northern hemisphere too.
