Red Dead Redemption, Mafia II delayed

PALGN News | You'll have to get your pistol packin', boot scootin' jollies elsewhere for the time being.
Publisher Take-Two has today announced that two of its high profile titles have been delayed "to allow additional development time for the titles and to maximise their full potential."

The two games in question are 2K Czech's open-world gangster title Mafia II (which is due to hit the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360) and Rockstar San Diego's open-world Western title Red Dead Redemption (for the PS3 and Xbox 360), which were both slated to arrive by 31 October 2009 - to coincide with the end of Take-Two's current fiscal year.

The company stated that it is currently evaluating the best possible launch windows for the games, confirming that both releases are targetting a "first half of fiscal 2010" release - which translates into the games being released anytime from November 2009 to April 2010.
