Australian sales charts, week ending 07/06/09
PALGN News | There's a new Sims game out. You know what that means.

The Sims 3 hit shelves throughout the country last week, and the result was rather predictable. The game rocketed straight to the top of the charts, failing to spare a thought for the ever-dominant Wii Fit, which was pushed down to second place as a result. Another brand new entry, inFamous, starring the heroic (or despotic, whichever you prefer) Cole McGrath (no relation to Glenn), joined the charts in third place. We think it's well-deserved, too. Wii Play held onto its fourth spot - no surprises there - while last week's number two, fitness game fun in the shape of EA Sports Active, fell, landing at five.
Position six is occupied for former number one, DS collectathon Pokemon Diamond, dropping another three slots this week. Red Faction: Guerilla, explosions and all, made it's debut for the Xbox 360 in seventh place. It's pretty decent fun, so we aren't surprised. Brain Training came in in eighth slot - it just won't go away, despite having sold over six billion million copies over the past few years. The rather nasty men of UFC 2009 Undisputed are lurking in ninth place, while behind it, at ten, is Mario Kart Wii.
The charts are updated weekly and are provided by those wonderful people at GfK.
