Uncharted film in development

PALGN News | Drake's Fortune set for the silver screen.

Move over Indiana Jones, it looks like Nathan Drake will be treading on your turf. The Hollywood Reporter has announced that Columbia Pictures is bringing a film adaptation of the popular PlayStation 3 title, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, to cinemas in the near future.

While there is no word on who will fill the role of the roguish treasure hunter, Nathan Drake, Columbia Pictures has hired Kyle Ward to pen the script. Ward is the same scribe behind the upcoming film adaptation of Kane & Lynch (which is said to star action-movie veteran Bruce Willis) and Hitman 2, the second film installment to feature the exploits of Io Interactive's beloved Agent 47.

If they absolutely have to make a movie, and I pray they don't, Drake is Nolan North's character. His voice, his motion capture, they even look pretty damn similar. Don't get me wrong, I loves me some Nathan Fillion, but Nate isn't Mal.

Totally agree matrix-cat. They should just make it CGI, with Nolan's voice. That way they will be actually doing justice to the series.

A shame that Nathan's lame one liners make him the most annoying Videogame character since Sonic opened his mouth and started making out with human girls. I would not watch an Uncharted movie. I only put up with him at all because those cutscenes string together a game with fine play mechanics. All movie and no game? I cant believe how much you all seem to want to bear that twat's love child!
