Australian sales charts, week ending 22/11/09
PALGN News | Modern Warfare 2 gets owned.

After absolutely dominating the charts last week, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has been forced to take a back seat. Nintendo powerhouse New Super Mario Bros. Wii has taken command of the top spot, up two places from last week. New release Assassin's Creed II has locked up the other two podium positions, with the Xbox 360 edition faring better than it's PlayStation 3 counterpart. The PS3 version of Modern Warfare makes an appearance at four - somewhat surprising, given it's only in its second week on sale. Cricket on the Wii is selling healthily, coming in at five, and will no doubt continue to sell well as cricket season kicks off in earnest.
Last week's number one, Modern Warfare 2 on the 360, has suffered a massive drop, collapsing five spots to sixth place. Chances are it will bounce back in the next few weeks, but it doesn't make it any less surprising. Behind it in seventh place is Wii blockbuster Wii Fit Plus, followed closely by the PC version of Modern Warfare 2 at eight, giving it three appearances in the top ten for the second week in a row. The Wii controls the bottom of the charts, with Wii Play/Wii remote bundle at nine, and the rather popular Wii Sports Resort at ten.
