Sydney consultation for video game classification

PALGN News | Mass public gathering outside Queen Victoria Building on Saturday.
The latest event relating to the on going R18+ classification issue is set to take place outside the Queen Victoria Building in Sydney City on Saturday 9 January 2010.

Participants will not only be enlightened about the issue but will also be able to obtain submission forms that will allow them to submit their response.

Where: Queen Victoria Building, Corner of George and Druitt Streets, Sydney

Date: Saturday 9 January 2010

When: 9:00am - 4:00pm

Unfortunately I'm unable to attend, but I hope the event goes well, and awareness is raised about this important issue.

Ha! I arrive in Sydney on Sunday evening for a week of work as well. I'd have loved to have gone to this. I had the option of going early to have a free weekend there this weekend or stay for next weekend. If I knew about this, I wouldn't have chosen to stay next weekend!

The sad thing about this is, allot of gamers will whine about the non existence of the R18+ rating for games, yet most are too lazy to go to this, or to even submit. Pull your finger out gamers, and grow up. Time to stand up for something.

When i said submit i meant make a submission to the attorney generals office through the public consultation as to whether or not we should have an R18+ category for ratings. Submission close Feb 28, get cracking.

The site you're looking for is:

Saw an article about the issue in a magazine somewhere which was quite pro-R18+. Good to see that there are voices in the media which support rationality.
