New DLC for AvP

PALGN News | Actually, it's not quite "new".
Sega and Rebellion have announced via Sega Europe’s blog that the first downloadable content for Alien Vs Predator will be available on 18 March.

Called the Swarm Map Pack, the four multiplayer maps aren’t entirely new content, as they are already available on the Special Edition version of the game. Two first two multiplayer maps are available for the six different online modes - Deathmatch, Predator Hunt, Infestation, Species Deathmatch, Mixed Species Deathmatch and Domination. These two maps are:

• Docks: The caustic alkali waters of BG-386 put an end to Weyland-Yutani’s planned shipping activities.

• Machine: As well as processing exotic ores, the BG-386 Refinery provided electrical power to the colonists at Freya’s Prospect.

The other two locations are Survivor maps in which “up to four Marines battle to stay alive against increasing swarms of Aliens”.

• Outpost: The site of the original Weyland-Yutani colony on BG-386 was abandoned, and soon reclaimed by the planet’s voracious jungle plant life.

• Hive: Deep in the heart of the Freya’s Prospect Refinery lays the Xenomorph Hive.

No details are available on an Australian price for the content, however, overseas pricing may give some clues with the PS3 and PC price set at €5.99/£4.79 and the Xbox 360 price at 560 Microsoft Points.

Sounds nice. Too bad I can't actually play it because the game keeps crashing/freezing in DX9 mode, and won't load at all in DX10 or DX11. Though I blame my worthless piece of **** new radeon 5850, which seems to have the absolutely worst drivers ever written (or in this case, scribbled with a crayon).
