First up, fans of BioWare’s role-playing masterpiece Dragon Age can extend their adventure in Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening on Xbox 360 and PC. PC gamers should also have their keyboards and mice waxed and primed for when Command and Conquer goes forth in Tiberian Twilight. Taking place after the last entry, Tiberium Wars, there are only a few desperate years left before the earth is rendered inhospitable. Command and Conquer 4 concludes the story of the Tiberium universe, while introducing mobile bases, featuring persistent player progression and classic C&C multiplayer. Look out for it on Thursday.
But before the heavens fall in on us or we are stolen away by a pack of bloodthirsty monsters, we give to you the releases of the week.

While comparisons with Fallout 3 are sure to be made, Metro 2033 is a very different beast. While the game is rooted in a strong narrative, gameplay is a traditional FPS adventure. As Moscow comes to grips with a post-apocalyptic fate, players venture through the metro underground in a story of survival and horror. With scant ammunition reserves, you face mutant creatures and fellow dwellers more than willing to kill you to get what they need. Strap on your gas masks, as Metro 2033 is sure to have you engrossed.

We’ve all been waiting for the day when Kratos landed on the PlayStation 3, but God of War 3 is finally upon us. With the power of Sony’s black box behind it, the developers have produced one of best-looking games in its class. On a quest for vengeance, Kratos can expect to do battle with all manner of monsters, and even a few beauties for good measure. God of War 3 retains its mix of puzzle-solving and epic combat, incorporating a few subtle gameplay improvements to make your life less frustrating. Kratos’ latest adventure opens with a bang and never strays over the ten or more hours that it takes to complete. Veteran players may want to ham up the difficulty though, in order to ensure they get the most out of God of War 3. Polish your blades, as Olympus awaits!
