Zenimax Media acquires Arkane Studios

PALGN News | Combining forces and resources.
After over a decade of going solo, Arkane Studios have made the decision to combine forces with ZeniMax Media, perhaps better known as the parent company of Bethesda.

In its 11 year history as an independent company, Arkane produced and collaborated on such titles as Arx Falls, Dark Messiah of Might and Magic and Bioshock 2.

Arkane co-creative director Raphael Colantino is pleased with the move, and considers ZeniMax an excellent publishing partner.

“We share so many creative values. Joining the ZeniMax family will allow us to grow stronger while staying true to the games we love.”

ZeniMax Chairman and CEO Robert Altman believes the move will also greatly benefit his company and its work.

"Raphael and his talented team have earned a reputation for creating immersive, innovative games which enhances our ability to deliver AAA quality games to our many fans."

The partnership is already in full swing, with Arkane and Bethedsa Studios working on an as-yet unannounced project.
