Australian Gaming Bargains - 07/06/07

PALGN News | 2 for $40, $50, $60 and $80.
There’s a huge amount of bargains this week, so much so there’s not nearly enough room to list all the highlights in this small – and probably ignored – paragraph. Still, there’s several bundles including a very enticing PlayStation 3 pack at JB Hi-Fi which includes a console and 2 games for $1039 – arguable one of the best prices you can find for the system thus far. JB Hi-Fi have continued the dazzling specials with the newly released Mario Strikers Charged Football for only $69. The Pokemon phenomenon is making an increasing presence among retailer adverts with everyone now taking pre-orders for Diamond/Pearl and offering various bonuses. Also, please take note that Big W’s sale will last for two weeks and other than that, take a good look at the list as there’s something for everyone.

I don't know if this was for all EB stores, but the one in Sydney Liverpool had 50% of God ofWar II, which brought it down to $50

I still can't believe the price JB have the MS steering wheel for. $10 more than some games at their RRP price. Nuts! Insanity! So on and so forth. icon_wink.gif

Also $84 for the Limited Edition of Forza 2 at JB as well? Sold.

Well the price for the steering wheel seems logical to me. JB always sold it for $20 under RRP and now until July 31 Microsoft have reduced the RRP price of it to $150. So it's just their normal pricing scheme for it.

There was a lot of bargains to cover this week so I gave many a quick glance. Cheers for the heads up and I will update it.

price added.

it doesn't say in the catalogue, but the "2 for $XX" items at Big W are also individually available for half $XX.

so there doesn't have to be 2 items you want to get the benefit.

Thanks Obsolete. I'll update.

It's not the fact that JB are selling it for $20 less than the (current) RRP that is the surprise. It's the whole idea of a steering wheel being only $10 more than some games. It's not just any steering wheel either, it's an official one and more importantly a decent one. That's what is surprising, well to me anyway. If you told me that I could buy a decent steering wheel for $130 at the start of the year, I would have told you that you're dreaming so yeah, this price is quite a surprise and a good one at that.

Man, so many specials on atm, it's totally breaking the bank! So many good games cheap!
I KNOW!!! On my list are

- Dead Rising
- DS Console
- Crackdown
- Guitar Hero 2 (XBOX360)
- GTA: LCS (PSP)
- KH2

Me need moneys now. Anyone willing to DONATE it would greatly be appreciated.
Dead Rising is $44 on sale now and K-Mart.

Saints Row has gone platinum so it is now $49.95 and probably cheaper at JB.
