Zoo Tycoon 2 is also available for the PC (without the "Zookeeper" mode), and in our review we found it to be an entertaining enough little outing, if not a tad lacklustre. The original Zoo Tycoon on the DS was not so well received, however.
Perhaps the most interesting aspect of this story is that it represents yet another foray by Microsoft into the world of DS game production (although published by THQ, the game is Microsoft's intellectual property). While it's possible that Microsoft is simply pursuing profitable opportunities, we can't help but see a strategic advantage in helping to bolster the stock of games for the DS, given its dominance over Sony's PSP.
