Australian sales charts, week ending 26/08/07

PALGN News | Shocking.
Well, with a blurb like that, it's pretty obvious what's number one this week. It is, of course, Bioshock, for the Xbox 360 - we love it, you love it, everybody loves it. Get it now. Last week's number one, Singstar 90s, didn't drop far though, ending up at two and three (one with the microphone bundle, one without). Bioshock - this time on the PC - is at four. Wow, what incredibly diverse charts these are turning out to be. Pokemon Diamond changes things up at bit at five, dropping three spots from last week.

That crazy Dr. Kawashima is still Brain Training at six, holding firm from last week. Oddly, the sequel is nowhere to be seen. At number seven we have Mario Party 8 (is that all?). Apparently someone out there likes it. Guitar Hero 2 on the PlayStation 2 is back this week, re-entering in eighth spot - probably thanks to some minor discounting at the department stores. Poor old Pokemon Pearl continued to suffer at the hands of its shinier brother, finishing at nine. Meanwhile, World of Warcraft dropped to ten, but will no doubt be back high in the charts sometime soon.

The charts are updated weekly and are provided by the beautiful and lovely people at GfK.

From the PS3 charts, it seems that everyone who bought the system has FINALLY bought both Motorstorm and Resistance. icon_razz.gif

Bioshock is the only game that seperates the regular mix of Singstars, Brain Trainings and Pokemons. So its nothing new really, I wonder what games will sell once every Australian has these titles. At least there were no Hamsterz, Horsez, Dogz or Catz.

Haha, I don't own either... though ever since launch I've rented out Motorstorm and would like to own it... just don't want to pay $80+ for it.
