Australian sales charts, week ending 09/12/07

PALGN News | Mario and Sonic still have pulling power.
It appears that Super Mario Galaxy may have set up shop in the top spot for the bustling Christmas period, retaining its number one slot for the second week in a row. However, it's a one-two for the burly Italian plumber, as his joint effort with Sonic in Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games has jumped five spots to second place. Three and four are eerily familiar - both are The Simpsons Game, on the PlayStation 2 and DS respectively, in the same spots they were just a few weeks ago. More Brain Training managed to climb three spots to close the week at five.

After being at the top before the debut of Super Mario Galaxy, WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2008 has been pushed down the charts yet again this week, finishing in sixth spot. Need for Speed: Pro Street took a big hit from last week's strong second place, dropping all the way to seven. Meanwhile, the irrepressible Dr. Kawashima's Brain Training is back in the charts for the 1,003,230,208th time this week at eight. Nine sees the re-entry of the good, if short, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare on the Xbox 360, while Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock wraps things up at ten.

The charts are updated weekly and are provided by the beautiful and lovely people at GfK.

Awesome for Galaxy. Couldn't be more deserved. I've got 107 stars now.
