Most importantly, Europe and Australia will also get the console on November 17, with the 20GB version coming in at 499 Euros 499 Euros ($825 AUD), and the 60Gb version at 599 Euros ($990 AUD).

1840 - Dillian, from Incognito, the makers of Warhawk, hits the stage The new controller "Allows us to change to dynamic controls".

1836 - Six degrees of freedom. Yup, you guessed it. Same motion tilt technology as Wii. Does not require anything external, and is wireless of course.

1834 - New Metal Gear Solid 4 trailer. Another must download.

1828 - Final Fantasy XIII has some nice CGI.

1823 - Now it's EA's line up. Their new NBA game looks pretty, and is actually running on the PS3.
A model of Tiger Woods is shown, as is the new Madden. Need for Speed - Carbon is next up, followed by Army of Two and Medal of Honour Airbourne. There will be "more than 10 titles" from EA on PS3, they say - we presume they mean on launch.

Maintaining an open platform, so it will be FREE of charge. There will also be an additional channel for more content for both PS3 and PSP. E-distribution of PSP content through online. Games for PS emulator on PSP!

1735 - Hirai talking about online. Notice that there's no mention of the controller - clearly they're saving this up.

E3 coverage is a go!

Tuesday, May 9th, 2006

Yay. We went to an Activision conference today (which we can't talk about yet - damn NDA).

We've made it back to the hotel room ready to watch a Live feed of the Sony conference. Unfortunately we couldn't get any seats, so we're stuck watching it via the net just like everyone else :(

We WILL be at the Nintendo conference tomorrow morning though :)

Anyway check out http://palgn.com.au/article.php?id=4441 for live updates for the duration of the Sony conference.
