E3 2004: Star Fox Revealed

GCN News | The Star Fox crew return to engage an all-new threat plaguing the galaxy. New footage and screenshots inside.
Several years after disaster was narrowly averted on Dinosaur Planet, Lylat Central Command detects a new threat spreading throughout the galaxy.

The Star Fox team is sent in to eradicate this growing menace, but what begins as a standard combat mission quickly takes a dramatic turn. Legendary team members Fox McCloud, Slippy Toad, Peppy Hare, and Falco Lombardi join forces to form the most formidable team in the history of this celebrated series: the Star Fox Armada!

With the absence of the classic involvement of any flying stimulation in Star Fox: Dinosaur Planet it made the game feel rather plain and left many fans of the franchise wanting a true sequel to Lylat Wars, luckily it happened as Nintendo announced a sequel little over a year ago. The game, developed by Namco, brings back all the memories off the past as gamers will be re-introduced to flight stimulation, travelling terrain in the Landmaster Tank, taking missions on foot and the very welcomed return of the multiplayer madness with several multiplayer arenas to select from.

Nintendo revealed the newest edition of information to Star Fox Armada at their pre-E3 conference today and got many long time Star Fox fans hyped for the future. View PALGN’s media panel for new screenshots and find the new video footage here.

Star Fox Armada will be released in all areas around the world by the end of this year.

Ah. The intrusive HUD is nerfed. icon_smile.gif

All in all, this game looks slightly more appealing than it was a year ago, though I don't think even Rare could save the corny factor from the Star Fox series.
