Star Fox Assault - Screenshot Update

GCN News | New screenshots and artwork show off Fox’s wild side.

Nintendo has today revealed new screenshots from the upcoming Star Fox Assault title, developed by Namco. After numerous delays and name changes, the game has been scheduled for an early 2005 release in America, with PAL reigons not too far behind.

After his last adventurous quest in Rare’s Dinosaur Planet, Fox McCloud and his crew will return to their vehicles in a game that’s looking very similar to Nintendo 64’s Lylat Wars.

The latest screenshots from Star Fox Assault can be found via our media panel. PALGN will have more on Star Fox Assault as soon as it becomes available.

And so it should be similar to Lylat Wars. Turning Star Fox into Dinosaur Planet and basically removing the flying element altogether (those crappy between-level things don't deserve the title "flight section") was a stupid idea.

Looking forward to seeing how this turns out.

I've seen a few vids and it's finally beginning to look great

Being a huge fan of the N64 game (Lylat Wars is probabily in my top10 ever games) I have been pretty worried over it as it's been looking rather shoddy in the past, but seeing the flying sections in motion eased my fears greatly.

I've never played a Starfox game in my life. But this one looks good, I may check it out/steal it from Hyper. >_>

i played the original StarFox or whatever it was called in Australia... the SNES one... i really loved it, and the sequels were all what made me seriously consider getting other consoles...

i never played any of them though... kinda random...
