PAL Regions to get 'Ultimate' version of Metroid Prime!

GCN News | Nintendo loves you. And, after waiting four months for the GameCube's biggest blockbuster, you deserve their love. You know you do.
You may remember that, a while ago, PALGN reported that the Japanese version of Metroid Prime would appear in something of a 'deluxe' version, coming with an extra, tougher difficulty level, a larger variety of items, new special effects, improved animation and some all-new cut scenes, including a cinematic sequence for the grappling beam.

Now reports are coming through that Nintendo have announced via their Japanese website that the PAL RELEASE will ALSO contain these lovely Samus-enhancing extras, or at the very least some of them.

And, judging by how much stonedwal enjoyed his import version, this will send all slavering fans off the happiness scale, swimming in our newly-found love from Nintendo.

On a related note, PALGN have also heard unconfirmed reports on the grapevine that the Japanese and PAL versions of A Link to the Past will ALSO have similar enhancements! Why, it's enough to make you feel all fuzzy inside. I think I'm going to have a lie down.

As always, PALGN will be on the case as SOON as anything else filters through to us. Stay tuned.

Meh... Insignificant extras indeed. But it's nice to know they recognise us.

LttP having enhancements...I hope to god they get rid of those annoying voices. I'll just sell my US version I think, since it probably won't link up.

I don't think I will import ever again (unless I won't want to play through it again).

I think they will start doing this more and more to try to get people to just buy the PAL version.
