Nintendo of Australia announces plans for the GBASP Headphone Adaptor

GBA News | More "excellence" in marketing from our favourite local branch.

Nintendo of Australia has announced that they will be carrying the Headphone Adaptor for the GBASP, as well as an official set of headphones for the consoles, though these will not be available at retail in Australia.

If consumers wish to purchase the adaptor or the headphones, they must contact Nintendo of Australia via their consumer support line after the 28th of March. The headphone adaptor will set you back $9.00, and the headphones will cost $16.00. Alternatively, you can purchase both in a pack for $25.00

Wow. I'd like to get that pack of adapter and headphones. At $25.00 - it saves you a total of...$0.00!

Oh, for f@#$s sake!

This will be a total inconvenience! I wanted to pick one up at launch, and since I don't have a credit card, I doubt I'll get one soon.

While you're at it Nintendo, why not recall all the GBA Link cables and sell them the same way.

I'd imagine they're earphones.

Oh to be back at the days of olde, when Nintendo had a backlit Gameboy, a game, a set of batteries, a set of headphones and a GB Link cable in every Game Boy package.

I think you do, but you might be able to use a money order....

Well I understand them doing it with the Component Cable (how many of us actually bought it?) but GBA is actually one of their better sellers. Have you got this news for a good source? On their website they still say pricing and availability is being announced.

Well if you have access to a credit card ordering from them isn't so bad. I got the component cable from them and they had it to me by the second day. I live in Darwin and this is pretty damn quick.
