Prince of Persia coming to Nintendo DS

DS News | Out this holiday season.
Ubisoft has announced that a new game in the Prince of Persia franchise, titled Prince of Persia: The Fallen King, is currently in development exclusively for the Nintendo DS. The Fallen King will feature its own unique plot, while supplementing the new Prince of Persia game being made for consoles and PC.

Prince of Persia: The Fallen King's story follows the Prince as he seeks refuge in an abandoned kingdom. As the game begins, it quickly becomes apparent that everything is not as it seems. Corruption – a dark substance that physically contaminates the earth and skies – is infecting Persia, and the Prince has to form a dangerous alliance to save the kingdom.

Players will use the Nintendo DS stylus to perform the Prince's classic acrobatic and combat manoeuvres. Prince of Persia: The Fallen King will feature over fifty maps, including deserted cities, dark labyrinths and jungles. Fans of the series will also be given the opportunity to play as a new character, the Magus. Players will be able to switch between the Prince and this mysterious new ally during the game.

Prince of Persia: The Fallen King is being developed at Ubisoft's Casablanca studio, and is set for release at the end of the year.

they should just re-package the Assassin's Creed DS game.
that felt much more like the Prince of Persia trilogy than AC.

Might just be my opinion, but I think it looks ****ing terrible, and is a slap in the face of the original art style.

it might play a little like ninja gaiden dragon sword and that can only be a good thing in my opinion, but i dont really know how prince of persia games should play like having never played one before so that might upset fans if the control style changed heaps

Verry bad. Prince of Persia is all about the platforming with the combat being mostly seconday to it. I don't see why they need to use the stylus, I mean yeah its there but if its gunna mostly be like the old pop games they worked fine with a controller and the stylus seems... pointless.

When you compare the actual screenshots instead of the concept art, you have to agree that it's going back to its roots instead of trying to be Sands trilogy-esque.

Ya know I only just realised how simmilar the new prince design is to the old one with that pic. It' never even clicked before.
