Baten Kaitos & Xenosaga Announced For The DS

DS News | Namco show their support for Nintendo’s new dual-screened portable.
Namco Japan has today announced that the company plan to bring Xenosaga and Baten Kaitos, two major RPG titles, to Nintendo’s latest portable console, the Nintendo DS.

Xenosaga, arguable the most in-depth RPG, is a thrilling sci-fi RPG, whilst Baten Kaitos is a card-based fantasy RPG, which exclusively made it’s debut on the Nintendo Gamecube. No details have been revealed as of where the games will be placed in their series' or how the company plan to utilise the DS’s second screen.

This is great news on Nintendo’s front, since Nintendo has been notorious for their lack of RPG titles in the past ten years – just another reason for RPG-fans to pick-up Nintendo’s new handheld console. PALGN will have more news on Xenosaga and Baten Kaitos as soon as it becomes available.

Yay for Namco! Yay for RPGs! icon_biggrin.gif

Everything looks really good for the DS at the minute, Nintendo'll have to do something seriously, horrendously wrong to screw this one up. icon_lol.gif

Have any of you guys finished Xenosaga episode 2 yet?

Episode one was fantastic , pending on whether I get to write reviews for this site I may write a review of the american version which I have played.

By the way , certainly very excited about this announcement of RPGs, but having played mario 64 DS , I now highly anticipating "Zelda OOT DS" or something along that line.icon_smile.gif
