E3 2005: DSpeak VoIP?

DS News | So what's this DSpeak thing Nintendo are showing of?
The latest rumours coming from the E3 show report that Nintendo's DSpeak is actually what the name already suggested: a Voice-over-IP application. Using this application in combination with Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, gamers will be able to talk to their friends as if their were using normal cellphones.

The kit currently used at the E3 floor consists of two DS units with the DSpeak software, both also having an (included) headset connected, and is said to working great, even though it's only working over a mere 25 meter distance.

Whether Nintendo is planning to release DSpeak, or is simply using this as a tech-demo remains unknown for the time being.
