E3 2006: Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan! coming west
DS News | Wacky DS rhythm game to be localised as "Elite Beat Agents".
When he reviewed the wacky Japanese rhythm game Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan! last year, our own Chris Sell described it as "Currently the best game on the DS and one of 2005’s finest on any console". Well, it seems the game's developer, iNiS, has finally found someone to bring the game to the US (and we assume PAL territories), under the name Elite Beat Agents. It seems Elite Beat Agents won't just be a straight port of Ouendan, but a re-working of the original title to feature all new songs and characters, possibly designed to appeal to the US market. While this may be disappointing for fans of the very Japanese original, it's also good news for them, as Elite Beat Agents sounds like it's as much a sequel as a conversion.
More is promised at E3, which luckily is not a 'One Night Carnival', but runs for three days.
