E3 2006: Kirby sees double

DS News | A second DS release for the Pink-puff.
While it is currently without an official subtitle, Nintendo has announced that Kirby will be making his second appearance on the DS. However, this time, it won't be in the touch-screen only format as seen in Kirby Canvas Curse. Instead, it will revert back to the traditional 2D platformers that we've all known and loved.

The prospects are quite exciting, with the possibilities that Kirby's acquirable powers solely affect enemies but Fire will burn down trees and Ice will freeze water. That, and the touch screen will be used to create combinations of powers. There is no word on multiplayer details and currently, the game remains unscheduled.

Please stay tuned to PALGN for more coverage from E3 2006.

Kirby is cool... I really hope we get some multiplayer goodness, Kirby is fun with more balls, and thats all that was missing from Canvas Curse!

Now where has that GCN Kirby got to?

Yay! A proper 2D platformer, where Kirby should be.

icon_surprised.gif Canvas Curse rocked big time!!

Still a proper Kirby 2D game makes me icon_biggrin.gif Make it like Kirby Superstar or whatever it was called for the SNES. Loved that title!
