Phantom Hourglass adopts the cel-shaded look of the much-discussed Wind Waker for the GameCube, and this style is probably a decent design choice for the Nintendo DS hardware. For all intents and purposes, the gameplay will be top-down combat and exploration, much like earlier Zelda titles. However, we can see in these screens the level of quality that has been pumped into the characters and environments, and it's shaping up to be a handheld Zelda with some real cajones. Look out for more Phantom Hourglass coverage in the coming months.
