Final Fantasy XII sequel coming to PAL territories

DS News | Strategy title on Nintendo DS to leave Japanese shores.
According to Game Player, Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings will finally be released across all PAL territories in early 2008.

Revenant Wings takes place approximately one year after the events of the PlayStation 2 game Final Fantasy XII. Embarking on a new journey in the land of Ivalice, players will meet new characters, explore uncharted locations and see the return of previous heroes Vaan, Penelo, Fran and Balthier.

A modified version of the Gambit system from Final Fantasy XII will allow for complete control over all of the game's battles – automated attack sequences will be unleashed in real time through the use of the DS touch screen and stylus.

The soundtrack for Revenant Wings will be overseen by the composer of Final Fantasy XII. In addition, the developers are promising more summons than in any other Final Fantasy title and that the game will 'push the capabilities of the Nintendo DS'.

'I am delighted that we are providing fans with another opportunity to enjoy the beautiful world of Ivalice with Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings,' Square Enix President and CEO John Yamamoto said. 'With the same high-production values including movies and music, this is a stunning sequel that expands upon the original game and that makes full use of the Nintendo DS hardware.'

Kinda old news I suppose, since the Japanese version is out for a while now. Still good to confirm the PAL version.

I hope it's not as bad as X-2 was.

Any chance of the getting reviewed soon?

I want to buy it, but want to know how good it is.

EDIT: For those asking the same thing, here's a link to a reasonable one:

The Gamerankings average is 80%, so most people say it's pretty good. I imported it and can say that it's a good stab an an RTS on DS, it's pretty light and doesn't get hard till the end, but I enjoyed it! The story is not very related to FF12, you get a bit of Vaan/Penelo development but otherwise it's just a sidestory.
