Opoona coming to the UK in July

Wii News | More Japanese RPG love for the Wii.
Koei have announced today that their Wii exclusive RPG, Opoona, will be released in the UK on July 25th this year. While the press release doesn’t mention an official date for Australia, given our game releases are often tied with Europe, we assume a local release is planned within a similar time frame.

In the game, players assume the role of a young boy named Opoona, who is on vacation with his family. One day however, their rocket ship crashes on the planet Landroll, and Opoona awakens to find himself all alone. Suffering memory loss from the accident, Opoona sets out to be reunited with his family. Interestingly, the game is played entirely with Nunchuck controller, which Koei have stated will still let players attack in a ‘number of different ways’.

Accompanying the press release were nine screenshots, all of which can be found in the media panel.
