Adventure Island: The Beginning is yet another game from those workaholics at Hudson Soft. The title is a sidescrolling platformer which sees players assume the role of Caveman Higgins. Higgins is enjoying a peaceful holiday with his girlfriend Tina, when suddenly King Quiller's mysterious shadow covers the entire island. Worse still, Tina is kidnapped, so Higgins must now explore the island and rescue her. The game will set you back 1000 Wii points.
Crystal Defenders R1 is a Tower Defence game from Square Enix and has also been released on several other formats including the Xbox Live Arcade and iPhone. The main difference is that the WiiWare version of Crystal Defenders has been split up into different episodes, hence the R1 in the title. Your objective is simple enough - you have to stop waves of monsters from stealing a cache of crystals by strategically placing units in a maze. Each unit obviously has their own strengths and weaknesses, so variety is a must if you intend to protect the crystals. The game will set you back 800 Wii points.
Real Football 2009 has been released on the mobile phones and iPhone formats, so it's not too surprising the title also found its way to the DSi Store. There isn't a whole lot in the way of exclusive features, though you can use the DSi's camera to take a picture and use it to design a ball, team flag or customise your players. Gameplay modes include Cup, League, Penalty Kicks and Trophy. The game will set you back 800 DSi points.
