Puzzle Bobble Plus! is a puzzle game staring Taito’s bubble blowing dragon duo Bub and Bob. Like the Bubble Bobble and Rainbow Island WiiWare remakes, the gameplay has been left mostly unchanged from previous titles in the series. The aim of the game is to make all the bubbles on the top of the screen disappear before time runs out. To do this, you simply have to match three or more bubbles of the same colour by shooting them from a cannon. There’s also a two-player multiplayer mode as well as the option to download additional stages. The game will set you back 800 Wii points.
Water Warfare is an odd FPS from those wacky minds at Hudson Soft. As its name suggests, the game takes the basic foundations of the genre and turns them into a water-themed experience. Instead of armour, for example, players will wear raincoats and use umbrellas. Also, you don’t actually kill anyone in the game, you simply shoot water at characters who will pass out once their shirt gets wet enough. There’s a two-player splitscreen option as well as online multiplayer for up to eight players. The game will set you back 800 Wii points.
Given the Xbox Live Arcade was treated to Altered Beast recently, it comes as no surprise Wii owners are also able to get their hands this classic beat ‘em up. Originally released in 1988, the game sees players assume the role of a centurion who has been revived from the dead to rescue Zeus’ daughter, Athena. As you battle your way through waves of demons and other mythical creatures, you’ll obtain spirit balls which transform your character into different beasts, including a werewolf, dragon and a bear. The game will set you back 900 Wii points.
SimEarth: The Living Planet was originally released in 1990 and has appeared on several platforms including the Apple Macintosh, Commodore Amiga, IBM PC and SNES. There are no real goals or objectives in the game, players simply have their own planet and must set its landmasses, atmospheric gases and temperature. After that, you have to maintain the environment and watch as the planet’s inhabitants grow and evolve into a thriving civilization. The game will set you back 800 Wii points.
Some of you may remember Sudoku 150! For Challengers was released on the DSi Shop a few weeks ago. Well, Sudoku 50! For Beginners is very similar to that game, only instead of 150 puzzles there’s 50. As you can probably guess, the puzzles are also designed primarily for those who are new to Sudoku. The game will set you back 200 DSi points.
