Mega Man 10 revealed

Wii News | More old-school madness.
Capcom has announced it will be releasing Mega Man 10 on the Xbox Live Marketplace, PlayStation Network and WiiWare download services.

A direct follow-up to 2008’s Mega Man 9, Mega Man 10 will be presented as an old-school 2D platformer. In the game, a Robot Flu known as Roboenza has broken out across the globe and is causing robots to go on destructive rampages. Once again it’s up to Mega Man to save humanity and put a stop to the threat.

New additions to Mega Man 10 will include an Easy Mode which makes the game more accessible to players, and a Mega Man Challenges mode that lets players “practice their skills and prepare for the hair-raising adventures ahead of them”, whatever that means. Another neat little feature is that you’ll have the option to play as Mega Man or the fan-favourite character Proto Man right from the start.

Mega Man 10 is scheduled to be released in March 2010. You can check out a trailer, concept art and screenshots below.

Roboenza? ROFL, that's a good one :)

You think after all these years in the MegaMan universe, they'll just scrap robots and stop using them, they seem to be more trouble than they're worth!

Wish they would do the same thing with Mega Man X. Mega Man X10 in all its original 16bit graphics. I'd buy that in a second - and twice! for my PS3 and Wii! (maybe not - but you know what I mean.)

Hopefully someone from Capcom is reading this.

I agree. I enjoyed the 2D Mega Man X games far more than the original series.

Benno likes things easy icon_wink.gif

Yeah, MegaMan has always been insane. I spent a lot of time on MegaMan 9 and couldn't finish any levels. icon_sad.gif

I like the X games better, they feel more arcadey.

I will probably give 10 a go though if its not too ridiculous.
