I really like the look of the game....might have to buy it for my GF's wii so I can play it.

Who doesn't want to katana-uppercut someone into the air, jump after them, hang there while you aim a rifle at their groin, and then fire? I'm sold.

Wow. I think it will be about time to dust off the wii when this game comes around. The sword fighting looks shweeet.

Looks good but won't sell.

Its also worth going here and watching the off-screen videos. They're recorded at 60fps and it shows how smooth the game really runs.

looks crap to me....i thought the first one was great. It really stuck to culture you'd expect for a japanese sword fighting/shooter. This just doesnt do the name justice. The graphics looks smooth yet cheap at the same time, not many games can pull that off.

No blood, no sale. icon_neutral.gif

That's kinda stupid. Sure, blood would be better, and considering it's called Red Steel, you would assume there would be blood, but it's still going to be as fun with, or without, blood in it. I think it looks good, but can't watch these new videos until I am uncapped.

Game really didn't wow me when I gave it a shot at eGames, but everything in that trailer looks awesome. Everything.

No blood is pretty lame though. You're literally impaling people with a sword and holding guns to their necks before pulling the trigger, may as well go all the way.

No blood suggests to me that they're aiming at a younger target audience than they want people to think. It's a tactic that irritates me in films too, the kind of thinking that results in 12-rated Vin Diesel "action" movies seeming hardcore whilst actually not having any graphic content. It's not like they can't put blood in, Madworld did it, NMH did it (in America at least), it's that they won't so the certificate won't be maxed out so they can earn more money. icon_neutral.gif

Its a teen game and the lack of blood sucks, but its not going to wreck the game or seriously detract from the experience unless you have some manic blood lust. And honestly, if the lack of blood increases the target audience and thus increases sales for a core game on a third party platform notorious for poor sale performance, then so be it.

Works for Halo, which while has blood, is extremely tame and not very violent.
