Monster Hunter Tri date confirmed and detailed

Wii News | A hunting we will go...
At an event held today to show off the latest Japanese online hunt-em-all simulation (a.k.a. national craze) Monster Hunter Tri, the official Australian release of the title has been confirmed, and it will come with goodies too! Monster Hunter Tri for the Wii is the official third canonical title in the Monster Hunter series, which is extremely popular in Japan and has broken all sorts of sales records. Australians will get to see what all the fuss is about on 29 April 2010.

Furthermore, the game will be available in two bundles. One bundle will contain the game on its own and will retail for AU$79.95. The second has the Classic Controller Pro included with the game and will retail for AU$99.95. It ought to be noted, that this second pack will be the only way that players will be able to access the Classic Controller Pro in Australia.

We were also informed that we will share our monster hunting exploits online with Europe, UK and New Zealand at no charge. So, free online play for all. However, unlike it's availability in Japan and the US, there is no word on whether the Wii Speak peripheral will come in a separate bundle or be compatible with the PAL version.

Monster Hunter Tri was originally meant to be developed for the PlayStation 3, but shifted to the Wii due to development costs. Upon it's release in August of last year in Japan, the game received the full 40/40 from revered gaming rag Famitsu, and has since become the highest selling third party title on the Wii.

YAY! I'm really excited for this release. I never really knew much about the series up until this year but the more i read about it the more i like the sound of it. Just have to decide weather i go for the classic control pro or not.

MH3 plays really well with a classic controller, and I assume the pro would be even better. It was built almost exclusively for the game.
