Nintendo Store Update - 06/08/2010

Wii News | Double the chess and double the Aero.
In this latest installment of Nintendo Store updates, players will find a mix of old and new across consoles. Aero the Acrobat 2 makes its way onto the Virtual Console today, mere weeks after its predecessor landed on the Wii's download service. WiiWare offers up two games, with the very self-explanatory titles of Sandy Beach and Chess Challenge! making their presence felt.

Not to be outnumbered, the DSi Store also carries three titles this time around, with Link 'n' Launch, Chess Challenge and Animal Puzzle Adventure all becoming available to Australian DSi owners.

Title: Aero the Acrobat 2
System: SNES (Virtual Console)
Price: 800 Wii Points

Following on from the first game in the series, platformer Aero the Acrobat 2 has players once again face off against the villainous Edgar Ektor, who is attempting to hatch a nefarious plot under the mysterious name of Plan B. This time around there are 45 levels with which Aero can disperse enemies using both old and new attacks.

Title: Sandy Beach
System: WiiWare
Price: 500 Wii Points

For those craving the summer months, Konami's Sandy Beach may be just the game to placate your urges. Taking place at a beach, the game allows you to do almost everything you can think of with sand - dig holes in it, put it into buckets and even make sandcastles with the stuff.

Title: Chess Challenge!
System: WiiWare
Price: 500 Wii Points

A version of the classic board game, Chess Challenge! allows you to play against the computer or friends online. Protect your king at all costs before you end up being checkmated! Mii Support is also included for player avatars.

Title: Link 'n' Launch
System: DSiWare
Price: 500 DSi Points

Link 'n' Launch is a puzzler that sees players connecting pipes together in order to fuel a rocket awaiting launch. However, players must be careful to place their fuel in either the right or left compartment, as a mistake could see your rocket veer off course and fail the level.

Title: Chess Challenge!
System: DSiWare
Price: 500 DSi Points

Similar to the WiiWare incarnation, Chess Challenge! on the DSi plays mostly the same. It also offers online play for those that don't want to face the computer and local two-player for those with fellow chess-lovers in their immediate vicinity.
