I need to change my pants.

Cant wait to get my dirty hands on this game. Stacking beams on top of each other like Super Metroid? Too much fun!

Man. Everything I see about this game looks awesome but for some reason I don't think it will be very good.

The problem that I have with it is that, well... it confuses me. It looks pretty fantastic, but I can't for the life of me figure out how it fits together as a game. It keeps jumping perspectives, and seemingly going between a mix of the two distinct Metroid gameplay styles with some scripted actions sequences thrown in.

Nothing about it makes sense, but everything about it looks great.

Yeah. Confused.

Looks great but it really isn't a Metroid game is it.

Yeah, I agree with you Karai, I don't know how this will play. It looks confusing as hell and there is way too much going on.

But hopefully they nail it and it's a great game.

agree with the above peeps. lol

Every time I see a FPS scene im like 'meh' but every time I see a side scrolling scene of awesomness im like 'whoaaa!!'

All I think we were hoping for was a new side scrolling Metroid.

Still, can't wait to try this sucker out

Looks slick, but will be waiting for reviews rather than taking the plunge on launch day. I have no faith in Wii titles living up to expectations any more.

It's nice that we don't have to wait months to play it after the rest of the world gets it though.

Not at all confused, Many many 3rd person games require aiming etc in 1st person simply apply same principal here. In a word looks AWESOME

I dont really have a problem with the whole mix-match of camera perspectives. I quite like it, actually.

But my big concern is the devs forcing the control scheme to just a Wiimote. Specifically, forcing 3D movement to a goddamn d-pad. Some sections play almost like a 3rd person shooter with full 3D environments, yet I have to navigate them with a d-pad and not an analogue stick.

The whole control scheme would have worked quite well with the nunchuck + wiimote combo. In my head, it seems more natural as well.

Oh well. Otherwise I think the game looks amazing (the gameplay parts anyway), and Metroid has had a near flawless track record in quality. Day 1 for me because Samus is my lady.
