Ghost Recon announced for Wii

Wii News | Family friendly.
Marking the second Ghost Recon announcement for the day, Ubisoft has announced Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon for the Nintendo Wii.

Based around a two characters, Hibbard and Booth, the teamed up duo must use their advanced weaponry and equipment to fight their way through local militia, separated from their core team after a bad drop in Moscow.

Taking place across 12 missions, the game has been built with a co-op experience from the ground up, with both player characters appearing on the screen at once, and allowing the second player to drop in and out at any time.

From the trailer, the game appears to play very much like a scripted rail shooter, a genre of which Wii owners will be quite familiar, with the added aspect of having a character appear on the screen, controlling when to pop out of cover. As expected from many rail shooters, the game supports online leader boards to upload and compare scores.

The first trailer is available below.

Looks decent but hoping it's not another rail-shooter. We've got enough of them already.

From what I've seen on that trailer, I don't see how anyone would think it is anything but a rail-shooter.. not having a go at you.. just saying.. it looks, from all that is on that video, that it is a rail-shooter.

Dumb idea, but this is the Wii after all.

Well atleast we still have Treyarch comparatively speaking.
