Nintendo Store Update - 20/08/2010

Wii News | Unleash the Fur(r)y!
Our foray into the Nintendo Store this week reveals that three new titles have been added to the Wii's download service. You can pick up the WiiWare games Furry Legends and Monsteca Corral: Monsters vs Robots, with the Virtual Console offering the Neo Geo fighter Fatal Fury 3: Road to Final Victory.

In an unusual move, the DSi Store doesn't seem to have any new titles this week as of this writing. Has Nintendo forgotten to do an update or are they building suspense for a surprise release of Cave Story next week, something that many of you have been hoping for in the comments each week? Rest assured that PALGN will keep you all informed of any updates.

Title: Furry Legends
System: WiiWare
Price: 1000 Wii Points

When Lord Squarie threatens the wondrous place known as Furland, it's up to you to save its citizens, known as Furballs. A 3D platformer at heart, Furry Legends will see you take on the role of creatures with different skills, such as time manipulation, which can help you solve many puzzles. Along the way, you will encounter a variety of bizarre animals, such as five-eyed crabs, round cows and crazy rabbits. Both the Wii Remote and nunchuck are required for you to join in the fun.

Title: Monsteca Corral: Monsters vs Robots
System: WiiWare
Price: 500 Wii Points

The planet of Monsteca is overwhelmed by an invading robot army, set on world domination. The citizens of Monsteca, known as Stompies, are weak on their own, but show their true strength when combining forces. In this game, you must avoid capture by the robot forces and guide your Stompies to Energy Orbs to increase the group's strength, the energy from which will power the flying Astromaggot. Monsteca Corral: Monsters vs Robots has twenty levels for gamers to conquer and also comes with an Achievement Mode.

Title: Fatal Fury 3: Road to the Final Victory
System: Neo Geo (Virtual Console)
Price: 900 Wii Points

Though it is numbered 3, Road to the Final Victory is actually the fourth game released in the Fatal Fury series. Gracing the Neo Geo system in 1995, Fatal Fury 3 updates the two-plane fighting format up to three - you can fight in the background, foreground and main plane. The game also comes replete with other new additions, including the Combination Arts System and Hidden Abilities, which amp up the power of your character's special moves.
