EA announces Boogie for Wii

Wii News | How do you make a hanky dance?
EA has revealed that its Montreal studio (creators of SSX Blur and Army of Two) is currently working on an exclusive new rhythm game for the Wii called Boogie.

The game will apparently utilise the Wii remote and Nunchuk to have players dance, sing and star in their own music videos. Players will also have the option of choosing and customising several different characters to show off their skills in a range of gameplay modes.

"We’re creating something new and different for gamers of all ages to enjoy; the complete party package where gamers can dance as well as sing," whooped Alain Tascan, Vice President and General Manager of EA Montreal. "Nintendo’s Wii is an amazing console that really gives us a platform to be creative and to re-think traditional game development."

Boogie is currently scheduled for a 2007 release worldwide and is looking quite funky, based on the accompanying screenshots which can be viewed in our Media Panel to the right of your screen. More as we get it.
