E3 2007: Smash Bros. Brawl not at E3 at all

Wii News | We predict brawling.

It's been common knowledge for a few weeks now that Super Smash Bros. Brawl would not be playable at E3 2007 but it was expected that the game would be on show in some form or another. Well unfortunately Nintendo's Beth Llewelyn has confirmed the game will not be shown in any capacity on the E3 showfloor.

Speaking to IGN Llewelyn stated that Nintendo wanted to focus on other Nintendo projects. "After we get back from E3, we'll look at the calendar and figure out the right time to do something very specific for Smash Bros. Brawl". Llewelyn continued with the bad news by confirming there is no plan to release a 2007 gameplay trailer of the game either.

No 2007 trailer? So its going to be released without any more videos being released?

Eh, I'm happy to have Smash news sacrificed at E3 since we get it every day anyway.

Yeah, that's about it isn't it? No SSBB video sounds bad until you remember the (week)daily updates on the Dojo website. We're getting a much greater info flow on this one than the past Smash Bros. games.

Here's hoping they put a mini video or two up on the website as some of the future updates, though.

i'm predicting that they will have a big announcement relating to this game in the TGS. That is where all the big gun's are going to be shooting it off and might where the rumble feature for the ps3 will be announced too.

Oh well, at least the website is sufficient enough...now if only the Starcraft 2 website did the same thing.

E3 is loosing a lot of rep and a lot of big things weren't shown then but are going to be shown at other conventions

TGS is probably the best example where we can expect alot of great things to come.

i'm not sure if all the top game sites take coverage on it though never really followed it until recently.
