E3 2007: Ubisoft reveals first information on Nitrobike

Wii News | Being developed by Left Field Productions.
Ubisoft has sent through the first details for Nitrobike. Nitrobike is being developed by Left Field Productions, the creators of Excitebike 64 for the Nintendo 64.

In Nitrobike players will control rocket propelled motorcycles. You'll be able to race against the clock in the game or race against the computer. The game will also contain a offline multiplayer mode as well as an online mode.

"Ubisoft is thrilled to be introducing the first Motocross game available for Wii," said Jay Cohen, vice president of publishing at Ubisoft. "Nitrobike's fun and fast-paced gameplay is sure to be a hit for Wii owners for the holiday season."

If this is anything like Excite Truck then I will definitely buy it. It's looking pretty nice in the graphics department as well. I'm hoping that it has good stack physics, I love the ragdoll physics in MX vs ATV. The Wii needs some more racers anyway, Excite Truck is probably the only decent one out there IMHO. I haven't played 4x4 world, but PALGN tells me it's tripe, and I will take their word for it.

IGN gave Excitebike 64 9.7, so it's fairly safe to assume this will be obnoxiously good, especially with online play.
