Rockstar bringing Table Tennis to the Wii

Wii News | But will the game feature online play?

Rockstar has announced via a press release that they’re bringing Table Tennis to the Wii. Rockstar Games presents Table Tennis was originally released last year for the Xbox 360.

“Ever since we released Table Tennis, fans have been asking us to create a Wii version," Rockstar's Sam Houser stated. "By bringing Table Tennis to the Wii and utilising the motion-sensitive Wii Remote, a new audience can now experience a game that is beautifully designed and impossible to put down."

The Xbox 360 version of the game featured online play and was one of the Xbox 360’s first budget titles, unfortunately more details on the game weren’t announced by Rockstar, but as soon as the company provide more information on the game we’ll report back.

Wiisports with Wiitennis is what happened, R* saw them raking in the cash and they just had to get in on the action thus the exclusive meant nothing.

It was exclusive at launch 14 months ago, and it'll stay that way until the Wii game comes out (which will be another couple months at least).

This was a great game on 360 i played it for 2 months pretty much non stop. the online multiplayer is where the fun is at though so i reckon they should try their best to include it.

This is the type of game the Wii needs.

I have to admit though I thought the 360 version was rather poor. The ball physics were good, but the handling was awfully clunky and the camera placement was not good at all. You couldnt see the ball half the time because the players were in the way. They should have made the players invisible.

The game was pretty average on the 360. I'd feel ripped off if I didn't pay $20 for it.

when i played table tennis on wii, it was quite unresponsive and it always missed the ball. Max 4 rallys

Funny how on the 360 it was a budget title, but could spell gold on the Wii.

I just hope it doesn't play like table tennis on Wii Play

My record is 198.. just two stinky hits away from that Platinum Medal!!!

As far as RockStar Table Tennis on the Wii goes, ive got two words that summarise the way I feel about this anouncement and they are " F*ck " and " Yeah " !!!
