Ghost Squad to come bundled with Wii Zapper
Wii News | At least in Japan for the time being.
According to Sega enthusiast site, Sega Nerds, Sega have confirmed that their upcoming Wii game, Ghost Squad, will be released in Japan on October 25th. Interestingly though, there will be two versions made available – a standalone game and a bundle pack which will include the recently announced Wii Zapper peripheral, which acts as a plastic casing for the Wii Remote and "turns it" into a gun.
Ghost Squad is a port of the "on-rails" arcade gun game of the same name, which sees players take part in of the Global Humanitarian-Operation and Special Tactics Squad (aka Ghost Squad); a specialised group of military soldiers assigned with the task of putting a stop to growing terrorist threats.
At this stage, it is unknown if the bundled version will be making its way to the Western market but, if it proves a success in Japan, we’ll likely hear confirmation shortly thereafter.
