World Cyber Games final on this weekend

Wii News | Something for everyone.
The Samsung World Cyber Games Australian final is on this weekend and runs from the 25th of August through to the 26th of August. There are more than 100 gamers scheduled to compete and it seems spectators will be kept well entertained with the opportunity to preview Halo 3 and Project Gotham Racing 4.

“The lead up to the National Final has seen the best and most competitive gamers in Australia showcase their skills,” said Kurt Jovais, General Manager – Corporate Marketing, Samsung Electronics Australia. “WCG is one of the world’s most recognised e-sporting events and the Australian National Final is shaping up to be an action packed weekend at Luna Park.”

“There’s something for gamers and spectators alike under Luna Park’s Big Top during the World Cyber Games National Final,” said Charlie Brown, Managing Director, CBN Media. “Over the last couple of months, we’ve been working to stage an event that will bring to life the world of gaming that is both interactive and experiential. We’re proud to have been the official event management company of this competition.”

The 2007 World Cyber Games final will decide the ten winners that will represent Australia at the World Cyber Games Grand Final which will be held in Seattle, Washington from the 3rd of October through to the 7th of October.

The event takes place at Luna Park in Sydney and more information on the event can be found at the World Cyber Games website.
