Pokémon Ranch images revealed

Wii News | Sort of looking like a Nintendo 64 game.
Earlier today, it was announced that Pokémon Farm would be coming to Nintendo's Wii Ware service. Pokemon Farm will allow players to transfer their characters from Pokémon Diamond and Pearl and raise their Pokémon in a farm environment.

Famitsu has released the first images of the game, which can be found in our media panel.

My god thats ugly.

Wow. Single color textures, horrible character models, and the worst artistic design I've ever seen in a Nintendo game. Wiiware is going to be awesome....

Holy crap that's exactly what i said, i'm feeling all weired out now.

In all honesty, little sprites in GBA Pokemons look better, i'll take nice cartoony sprites over jaggy lame 3d models anyday.

I blame streaming for the ugliness/jagginess. But thats still pretty weak. Ohwell this isn't supposed to be about major wii titles, more sandbox developemets from wiiware.

If it wasn't for the Miis I'd have guessed that this was a particularly bland and ugly looking DS game...

The sad thing is, just because its pokemon its going to sell well. Its why some awesome titles like Okami get passed by, because the big guns milk the series to steal the spotlight icon_sad.gif

I'm guessing the simple visual design is due to it being Wii Ware, and trying to preserve the file size.

That said, it's pretty fugly.

Wow, that is totally a cash cow game. Shame on you Nintendo.

I don't know what the file size limit is on any one wii ware game, even if it were 32Mb I've seen some far better loooking games. Tony Hawks American Skateland on the DS looked far better and the file size on that game was only 38Mb. Maybe it's just their "art syle" (if you could even call it that) or maybe it's a screen from a Proof of Concept version. but Either way, all the acohol in the world couldn't trick me into thinking that game came from this generation or the last.
