Dr. Mario Wii screenshots released

Wii News | Game confirmed to include online play.

The first images for Dr. Mario on the Wii have been released. When the game was announced earlier today, Nintendo didn't reveal much information on the game, but the images do giveaway a few things.

Dr. Mario appears to be a completely original title and according to IGN, the game will allow players to play online. Rather than use Mario characters, it will also be possible for players to put their Miis into the game. Once Nintendo reveals more on Dr. Mario we'll report back.

Is that some sort of four player co-op in a couple of screens?

I love Dr Mario, just hope this is cheap. And has Fever and Chill music.

I'm stunned that they would dig up this old IP for the Wii, but definately in a good way. Dr. Mario is still one of my favorite NES games ever (yes, really) and news that its being re-made for a new era is fantastic.

Although I'd likely be equally as welcoming to the news of it being released on the Virtual console.
