More Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 screenshots

Wii News | Now give me all of your senzu beans.
Atari has sent through a bunch of new screens from its latest entry in the Dragon Ball franchise Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3, copies of which can be found in the Media Panel.

Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 is slated to be the final entry in the series, and publisher Atari claims it will be the best yet. The game packs an absolutely whopping 150 characters, which by our count would pretty much be almost every character featured in the Dragon Ball canon. Newcomers to the series include Nail, King Cold and King Vegeta. Over 20 different stages will be featured for battle, representing popular locations from the series, available in day or night, with the power of the moon enhancing certain Saiyan abilities. The Wii version of the game will feature improved controls and online play, which is a first for the series.

Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 will be available on November 23 for the PlayStation 2, and January 15th for the Wii. PALGN will have a full review around that time.

Just as I suspected, looks like my theory of them doing 3 in each series was correct, first there were the 3 Budokai games, now there are the 3 Tenkaichi games. I have to say I like the Tenkiachi games better as a whole (Tenkaichi 3 looks to be the best one so far). Now I see them creating a new series, which should feature on PS3, with possibly a dumbed down version for Wii (unless they branch off and create a seperate series for Wii).

Anyway, nice to hear the PS2 version is out so soon, I think I'll wait for the Wii version though since it has online play, and hopefully I can adjust to the controls.

Wounder if they will move in to DBGT realm, and next gen consoles?.

They already have moved into the DBGT realm, just look at Tenkaichi 2 for example. Unless you mean a new series based on only GT? In which case, it'll never happen, DBGT just wasn't popular enough.

As for next gen, I've already said my bit on that (and when you say that, remember that the Wii is a next gen console, so DBZ already is in the next gen), just not on a HD console.
