Geometry Wars: Galaxies coming in January 2008

Wii News | Will be the first Wii game to link to the Nintendo DS.
Those hoping to play Geometry Wars: Galaxies this year on their Wii or Nintendo DS should be a little disappointed, with Sierra revealing today that the game isn't set for release until January, 2008 in Australia.

The disappointing news also came with a few shards of good news. Geometry Wars: Galaxies is one of the first Nintendo Wii videogames to offer the ability to link the Wii with the Nintendo DS, players doing so will be rewarded with a full, free version of Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved.

“We are excited to provide in Geometry Wars: Galaxies more than 60 times the amount of content than Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved with new levels, controls, weapons and enemies,” said Al Simone, Senior Vice President, Global Marketing for Sierra Entertainment.

Geometry Wars: Galaxies has a RRP of $69.95 on the Wii and $49.95 on the Nintendo DS.
